Privacy
Summon is provided by SefarAI (“we”). This page says what Summon keeps, what it never keeps, and who else handles your data. Questions or requests: support@summon.sefarai.com.
The short version
- What you send through Summon is never stored or logged by us. It passes through our server to the AI model, and the answer comes back the same way.
- We keep your account (email, name, plan) and how much you used Summon each day: that runs the free plan.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or train models on what you write.
What passes through, and isn't kept
When you ask Summon something (Refine, Translate, Explain, a question, a screenshot you attach), the app sends it to our server, which forwards it to the AI model and streams the answer back. Our server does not save it, and our logs never contain it.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, your name if Google provides it, a sign-in identifier, your plan, when you joined, when you last used Summon, and whether the account is blocked.
- Daily use: how many actions you used each day and how much text they took (counted in tokens), to apply the daily limit and keep the service affordable.
- Answer health: for each answer, whether it worked and how long it took, without who asked or what was asked. Kept 90 days.
- Sign-in codes: the 6-digit code we email you is stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form, and deleted once used or after 10 minutes.
- Server logs: technical records of each request (time, network address, which part of the service, the result, how long it took). They never contain what you send or receive, and are rotated automatically.
- Admin records: when we change an account (its plan, or blocking it), we record who changed what and when.
On your PC
The Summon app keeps its settings on your PC, and your sign-in encrypted with Windows. If you turn on Recent, your conversations are kept on your PC only, encrypted with Windows, for the days you choose; they are never sent to us. Screenshots stay in memory and are never saved to disk.
Who else handles your data
- Google (Firebase Authentication) signs you in: your email address, your name and your Google account identifier.
- OpenAI, through OpenRouter, runs the AI model: they receive what you ask in order to answer it, under their own terms and retention policies, which do not use API requests to train models by default.
- Resend sends our emails (your address and your sign-in code).
- netcup hosts our server and database in Germany.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States.
How long
Your account and its daily use are kept while your account exists. Answer health is kept 90 days, sign-in codes at most 10 minutes. When you delete your account, we delete its data within 30 days.
Your choices
- Sign out at any time in the app (Settings → Account).
- To see, correct or delete your data, or to delete your account, write to support@summon.sefarai.com from the address you sign in with.
Children
Summon is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly provide it to them.
Changes
If this page changes, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll also say so in the app.
